CLOSE THE CAMPS
There is a humanitarian crisis at the Mexico-U.S. border, and throughout the U.S. immigration system. Refugees seeking asylum have been locked in detention camps under inhumane, and too-often, deadly conditions, circumstances which have become all the more dangerous since the Covid-19 Coronavirus pandemic has affected the entire world.

As a U.S. citizen, I vehemently oppose the detention camps, and I want to use whatever size platform I have as an artist to raise awareness about the camps and the horrific acts of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Borders Protections (CBP). In October of 2020, I created a serious of protest paintings and one recorded video performance in an effort to create something more immediate to share on social media, using my body as a witness and platform to express my horror and devastation.

I invite you to educate yourself about the Detention Camp crisis and a good place to begin is to visit: Detention Watch Network.
